Before the Pandemic suspended volunteer activities, TravelTelevision had 12 years and over 150 episodes highlighting many small groups with volunteers who traveled for a purpose. Each 30 minute episode comprised multiple stories of dedicated individuals as well as nonprofit groups that are powered by volunteers. As these volunteers dug in and did the work, they chronicled their efforts. Projectkatrinavolunteers.net began in 2007. It included visits to Louisiana and Mississippi to encourage volunteers to join small groups doing the big work and heavy lifting of rebuilding. In 2011 we began highlighting the rebuilding of Joplin, Missouri after a devastating tornado.

Following Hurricane Sandy we launched the Jersey Shore Volunteers to increase volunteering to rebuild the eastern shore. Along the way we interviewed famous travel personalities, produced stories of NGOs working to change the world, and shared these stories on Youtube.

Humanity TV met with and engaged volunteers to tell the stories of volunteering to encourage more volunteering. We are proud to be part of a global effort whose mission it is to see the world and make a difference while doing so. Now we are branching out to do good deeds in our communities, including projects involving junior high school students and small nonprofit organizations working to enhance their communities. Each project, big and small, makes a difference and leaves a lasting impression on those who once thought they had been abandoned.

We hope you watch our stories join us for travel for a purpose.
