About

History

October 29, 2014 marked the two-year anniversary of Hurricane Sandy that devastated the Eastern Seaboard. Today, there are still families who are homeless from the storm – this is why Jersey Shore Volunteers is assisting these families.

Endless Opportunities

Jersey Shore Volunteers enables traveling for a Purpose, using social media tools, and competing in teams are all components of the new social consciousness-helping bring people home after the ravages of Hurricane Sandy.

Humanity TV Inc.

JSV is a project of Humanity TV, a Maryland based 501(c)(3) organization encouraging volunteerism around the globe. Humanity TV connects volunteers with nonprofits, corporations, and local, state, and federal governments by highlighting volunteer stories, such as the JSV efforts. These stories are shared via TV and the web through segments on TravelTelevision (www.TravelTelevision.org) to showcase the Humanity TV theme of "Travel for a Purpose."
